WACSM
A public intelligence platform helping policymakers and stakeholders monitor, analyse and anticipate developments across West Africa.

Overview
WACSM (West Africa Conflict & Security Monitor) is an independent, non-profit platform providing open-source political, conflict and security analysis across West Africa — built to help policymakers and stakeholders anticipate risk and respond earlier.
The Problem
Serious regional analysis on West Africa is often scattered across institutions and formats, making it hard for policymakers and stakeholders to find credible, structured intelligence they can act on quickly.
Design Process
MettWorks worked with WACSM to design a platform around how policymakers actually use intelligence — an interactive regional risk map, a searchable report library, and a clear set of intelligence products, all built on a credible, editorial foundation.
The Solution
A public platform combining an interactive West Africa risk map, a filterable intelligence library spanning weekly, monthly, spotlight, special and election reports, and a structured set of services for institutions and researchers.

The organisation's mandate, principles and standards.

A searchable intelligence library, filterable by type, country, theme and year.

Five core services, from policy briefs to subscription access.
